Resumen
La fístula broncopleural (FBP) es una complicación poco frecuente en la cirugía de tórax; sin embargo, las complicaciones derivadas de su presencia pueden ser mortales. El tratamiento endoscópico de las FBP es una opción para pacientes con fístulas pequeñas o en estado grave que no pueden ser sometidos a cirugía. Se evaluó la efectividad del nitrato de plata para el tratamiento endoscópico de las FBP durante un periodo de cinco años en el Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Respiratorias.
