Valoración del intercambio óseo en pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica terminal en el Servicio de Nefrología del Hospital Central Militar

Resumen
La Osteodistrofia Renal (ODR) es un término no específico para definir las diferentes alteraciones minerales y óseas asociadas con la enfermedad renal. Ésta se desarrolla desde etapas tempranas de la Insuficiencia Renal Crónica Terminal (IRCT). La lesión clásica en los pacientes con diálisis es la osteítis fibrosa, relacionada con hiperparatiroidismo secundario. La hipocalcemia, hiperfosfatemia y la deficiencia de calcitriol juegan un papel principal en el desarrollo y mantenimiento del intercambio óseo. La incidencia de la enfermedad ósea adinámica, una lesión de bajo remodelamiento, está incrementando recientemente.
