Resumen

El cáncer genera sufrimiento emocional a los pacientes y sus familias, frente a la limitada capacidad de los médicos para su adecuado reconocimiento y abordaje. El desarrollo actual de la Psicooncología ofrece instrumentos clinimétricos para detectar el impacto emocional del cáncer y coadyuva a su manejo temprano y oportuno.
