Resumen

Como alumno del curso de Subespecialidad en Cirugía del Trauma y Cuidados Intensivos Quirúrgicos, en la Universidad de New Jersey en Newark, Estados Unidos de América, ha despertado mi genuino interés la información que en su presti- giosa Revista nos expusieron el C. Gral. Brig. M.C. Antonio Redon Tavera y colaboradores, en el articulo titulado "Síndro- me de aplastamiento. Informe de un caso del sismo de enero del 2001. El Salvador (Centroamérica)".
